Architectural Modernism of Zelenograd – Book Layout Design

A tribute to my hometown’s Soviet modernist architecture, this project reinterprets the aesthetics of Soviet architectural books and magazines. I focused on modular grids, Graphik font, and minimalist typesetting to reflect the structured, industrial look of the era.

This project is dedicated to two of my favorite architectural landmarks in Zelenograd, a city designed as an advanced scientific center and one of the brightest examples of Soviet modernism.

  • Four book spreads highlighting these iconic buildings

  • Strict modular layout following Soviet graphic design principles

  • Bold headlines, clear hierarchy, and balanced white space

This project allowed me to explore historical design styles while maintaining a contemporary approach to editorial layout.
